Well firstly I'm a big Archie Sonic fan and I'd thought I'd give my opinions on my favourite arcs. But to set up some ground rules.

-Only Arcs and Stories where I have read the full arc. Since my Archie Sonic reading is basically in reprints, and a few issues here and there, it means that I can not bring up arcs I have not read, I also didn't start reading the full series and collecting every issue until World's Collide although I do have some individual issues. But this sadly means there will not be any Iron Dominion, Mecha Sally, or Hedgehog Havoc here.

-This will include both Sonic and Sonic Universe Arcs.

-Please respect my opinion, if you disagree, please tell me why you disagree.

Anyway, let's get this going.

10.Changing Tempo (StH #221)

If I had to pick two characters who are my favourite Archie exclusive, It's not Sally, It's not Bunnie, and It's not Antoine, It's not even Scourge. It's definitely Mina Mongoose and Nicole. Both have very likeable personalities and character arcs. This story is a one shot that leads into Genesis but I like it all for the character development, character moments and everything that cramped in here.

First is the art and It's really great, I especially want to bring praise to the new look Nicole was given here and I think It's a shame that she had to give it up after this one issue because It looks more casual and easy going than her regular look.

Next is character development. This is the final straw for Nicole as the city has completely lost it's trust for her after her being hacked by the Iron Queen and transformed into Iron Nicole. Now Nagaus uses his magic to blow their fear out of control. Mina already was having deep horrible nightmares because of Iron Nicole and wanted to convince the city to try stand up for itself if it happened again but with Nagaus blowing the concert and fear out of control, Mina herself believes that Nicole needs to go. This results in Nicole leaving in tears, and fear while Sonic and Sally are forced to confront Mina about it. This leads to a whole fight between them regarding Nicole. I just loved the story of this issue and how it showed the aftermath and damage that was caused by the Iron Queen.

The art is also great as I've mentioned, especially including some easter eggs with the people at the concert although I won't spoil those.

9.The Chase (StH #258-259)

There isn't really much I can say about this story because It's more or less a mini story during the shattered world saga but It's a fun one none the less.

It's basically a two part story involving Sonic, Tails, and The Freedom Fighters all leading a siege on a Eggman train in order to save Uncle Chuck and Professor Pickle who have been kidnapped by Eggman in order to find out what they know about Dark Gaia.

The story is more of a action packed comedy story this time around with various jokes like Amy almost setting off a few bombs, stopping Bunnie from almost doing the same thing and then just pretending she didn't do it at first. There's also Sally stumbling upon Eggman's freezer which unsurprisingly is filled with food such as ''Awesome sandwich stuff'' and more. We also have Professor Pickle being extremely oblivious to the world around him, believing him and Chuck to be on a friendly train ride.

The art here is good but feels off in a few places, especially on characters like Tails. It's hard to explain but to me, he usually always feels off when drawn how he is here although it's not bad or anything, just off. Other characters like Sally or Nicole however are drawn really good.

8.Mobius 30 Years Later (SU #5-8

Ok, I know what most Archie Sonic fans are thinking ''What the hell man!, A Mobius X Years Story!? They are terrible!''

Well I can agree on Mobius 25 Years Later being terrible considering Ken Penders who wrote it had it go on far too long, had nothing interesting happen in it whatsoever unless entire stories based on having pool parties and sleepovers are the type of thing you'd like to see in a action packed Sonic comic and so much more that made it awful. Here however? There is just such a massive improvement from the first X Years Later story.

First is that Ian Flynn wrote this story who is in my opinion the best writer Archie Sonic has had, knowing how to correctly write all characters in character and make things interesting. He's also the writer who took the boring piece of shit named Evil Sonic and turned him into one of my favourite villains, Scourge so we at least know stuff will happen in this story and stuff does happen.

We have a castle siege from old members of the dark legion, we have Sonic being forced to gather a new band of Freedom Fighters in a few short hours, we have Silver coming in and saving Sonic's life, we have Perfect Chaos returning as a mix of Tikal and Chaos named Tikhaos and so much more. There is just much more action and more in this story that improves it.

Also, M25YL had a sort of lackluster art style. Some times it was decent to good, other times, the art was horrible. Here, the art is done by the great Tracey Yardley who does very clean, and very consistent artwork and is up there with the best Archie Sonic has to offer with artists.

Characters are also written in character and everything. One of my problems in M25YL is that Ken Penders decided to just throw Tails and Mina as a married couple for no reason whatsoever other than a joke from a random friend that since Mina is fast and Sonic is fast, then Tails must be attracted to Mina!

Here, Tails and Mina have chemistry, they are believable as a couple and for once, it was actually good having my favourite Archie Sonic character and my favourite Sonic character be thrown into a couple and be made believable.

Mobius 30 Years Later: A story taking place in the future written correctly.

7.The Shadow Saga (SU #1-4)

A story arc based on one of the best Sonic characters? Yes please! The Shadow Saga was the introduction arc for Sonic Universe and it couldn't have been done better. Here we have a series of 4 one shot stories that tie in together with the task of Shadow gathering chaos emeralds for G.U.N. The best thing is how diverse the stories are. The first has Shadow fighting Metal Sonic with the help of Blaze and Marine in The Sol Universe while the second issue ties into the main comic with a side story of Sonic teaming up with Shadow to destroy a gun that risks taking down The Freedom Fighters during Sonic #197 along with having flashbacks which shows a Sonic Adventure 2 adaption. I won't spoil the other two story plots but the third issue's story especially is great and I highly recommend checking this arc out.

The art once again is also brilliantly done by Tracey Yardley and his art style matches perfectly with the action packed direction these 4 stories took for the Anti hero Hedgehog.

6.Order From Chaos (StH #168-169)

Again, this is another hard arc to talk about mainly because the arc involves a bit of build up from at least The Darkest Storm arc. But to give a quick bit of back story. There has been a mysterious enemy that has been causing trouble for both Eggman and Sonic & The Freedom Fighters. It's revealed that It's the computer program created by Eggman to be his son named A.D.A.M that has been doing it believing that if he takes over the world before his father, then Eggman will love him as a son. This results in A.D.A.M possessing Tommy Turtle with nanites, taking control of Bunnie, Nicole and Jules (Sonic's robotized Father)and kidnapping Tails, Shadow and Eggman. It results in thousands upon thousands of Chaos Emeralds being gathered to gain ultimate power while painfully forcing Tails and Shadow into their super forms to locate the emeralds and draining their power. All the while, Super Sonic is forced into a even match when the possessed Tommy is turned into a super form as well and fights off Sonic. It's a really good payoff from the story being built up from at least 10 issues before, It's really action packed and great.

Again, the art is done by Tracey Yardley! so there isn't much to say than what I've said before that his art style blends in really well with the action featured here.

And that's Part 1. The final 5 arcs will be in Part 2 which I will hopefully have done in a few days.
After reading :iconmixedfan8643: top 10 Archie Sonic Stories list, I thought I'd give my thoughts on my favourite arcs and stories as well since I am a big fan of the Archie Sonic series so enjoy.

I know this is your list but I can't agree on the 30 years latter arc I just didn't enjoy it at all for a few reason with includes:

-SONIC IS A FUCKING KING!!! (sorry I just couldn't put that one friendlier)

-The kids of the freedom fighters are all exact clones of there parents

-Tikalos out of nowhere (and having thing like this plop out of nowhere really annoys me)

-Evil dictator King Shadow despite that he is suppose to be one of the nicest charterers ones you get to know him and he would never upset hope (I know this is a carry over from 25 years latter but this was still not better justified here)

-Tails X Mina still with out backstory

-Sonic is married (I know many will disagree with me but I just can't get over this concept especially of him taking over the roll as a king)

-Still no decent explanation for what happened to Amy

Just to names these that I could thing of the top of my head.
